IELTS Double/Direct Question Essay — Quick Summary

A double/direct question essay has one topic and two questions. You must answer both questions.

Structure:

1. Introduction – Paraphrase the topic + briefly answer both questions.
2. Body 1 – Answer Question 1 + explain + example.
3. Body 2 – Answer Question 2 + explain + example.
4. Conclusion – Summarise both answers.

Formula:
Introduction → Q1 → Q2 → Conclusion
